$1125 For sailors with little or no racing experience.

RacingClass

This course will teach you the racing rules, boat handling, spinnaker skills and boat speed needed to be competitive.

Races are videotaped for analysis.

Format - Summer/Fall Soling Racing

This course has several formats, depending on the racing series. Lectures are on weekday evenings, and on-the-water instruction is held on the racing day for the corresponding series. Solings are raced in the Summer and Fall, and J/24's are raced in the winter. 

5-Week Summer: 5 consecutive Wednesdays and Thursday evenings.

Classroom sessions are held Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. On the water instruction takes place as part of the Thursday Night Racing Series from 5:30-9:00pm.

5-Week Summer Start Dates 

5-Week Fall: 5 consecutive Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Classroom sessions are held on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. On the water instruction takes place as part of the Saturday Racing Series from 9:30am-1:00pm

Format - Winter J/24 Frostbite Racing

Classroom sessions take place on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm throughout the Frostbite season. Sailing is part of the J-24 Frostbite Series on Saturdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Each class will be split into two teams, which will alternate Saturdays for the entire series. Classroom sessions are held on Thursdays.

Winter Racing Class: If you are new to frostbite racing and don't mind the cooler temperatures, we offer our Racing Class in conjunction with the Frostbite Racing Series! 

Classroom: 7 Thursdays from 6-8pm, starting November 5th (exact schedule to be determined at first classroom session) 

Racing: Alternating Saturdays November 7th- March 26th, 11am-3pm

Prerequisite: Prior racing experience or Boston Sailing Center Advanced course with at least two months of practice afterwards
